Ms. April Hobson
April Hobson - Owner
April’s career as a dancer, choreographer, studio owner and teacher span over two decades. Her television, commercial, film & stage work includes producing & choreographing over 400 regional & national title dances.
April conducts master classes and workshops throughout the U.S. for dance conventions, public & private schools, including the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts in Dallas, Tx., & the Houston High School for Visual and Performing Art in Houston, Tx.
While on faculty at Texas Tech University she was selected to teach at the National College Dance Association and has served as a guest resident at Texas State University.
April brings not only a solid dance foundation to her classes, she also instills a strong work ethic. Under Ms. Hobson’s direction, it is our hope to foster a love of dance arts within our Rockport youth, so they can carry the heart of dance forward into our beautiful and creative coastal community.
Kathrine Sims
Katherine has her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Theatre Education from Texas State University—San Marcos, where she has helped stage manage main-stage musicals, directed many black box shows for college students as well as main-stage one act plays for summer theatre intensives for high school students. Upon graduation and after her student teaching at Randolph Air Force Base, Katherine was head of the middle school theatre arts program at Lytle Middle School and later the high school theatre arts program at Moody High School.

After teaching public school, Katherine moved on to get her Master’s of Science at Texas A&M—Corpus Christi. Katherine is also passionate for competitive cheerleading, having been a part of competitive and high school cheerleading in her youth.
In her free time, Katherine loves to fly airplanes and is on her way to becoming a certified flight instructor and certified Airline Transport Pilot.
